Overview
Phlebotomy technicians are healthcare workers who collect blood samples from patients for tests and procedures. They use special equipment like needles and collection tubes to take blood in a safe and clean way. After collecting the blood, they label and handle it properly to ensure accurate test results. Phlebotomy technicians also explain the process to patients to help them feel comfortable and calm. They need to follow strict safety rules to protect themselves and others from infections. In addition to drawing blood, they keep records of the samples and sometimes have to transport them to laboratories for testing. Overall, their work is important for diagnosing and treating medical conditions.

Our hybrid course offers thorough training on important topics in phlebotomy. Students will learn how to draw blood effectively, handle specimens correctly, and communicate kindly with patients. The program also teaches how to take care of phlebotomy equipment and keep accurate records. In addition, students will understand basic anatomy and physiology, improve their communication skills, and learn how to safely manage hazardous materials. The course emphasizes conducting detailed patient assessments, making sure that graduates are ready for their future jobs in healthcare.

After finishing the course, you will be required to pass an online certification exam to earn your Phlebotomy Technician Certification. Our curriculum is designed to prepare you for nationally recognized exams, giving you the knowledge and skills you need to succeed. Once you achieve certification, you will be ready to start your career as a phlebotomist, opening the door to new job opportunities in the healthcare field.

Student Experience in Our Online Phlebotomy Class
Our online Phlebotomy Technician training offers flexibility and convenience, allowing you to learn at your own pace. You can access course modules anytime through our learning management system, Canvas, making it easy to study from anywhere. The program can be completed in as little as 8 weeks, with a maximum of 6 months from your enrollment date to finish. Once enrolled, you can create your own account with a password for quick access, or if you prefer, we can set up an account for you automatically.

​Each student is paired with a certified instructor who will oversee both online and in-person classes. This instructor will be available to assist you with any questions you may have throughout the course.

Online Phlebotomy Class Prerequisites
To sign up for the Online Phlebotomy Technician Course, it's advisable to have a high school diploma or a GED. You don't need any prior work experience to get started in this program.

To earn certification, students must pass a Certification Exam for each module upon completion of the training.

Phlebotomy Internship Requirements
In order to successfully complete the Phlebotomy Technician program, students are required to participate in a clinical internship where they will perform 30 supervised venipunctures. Students can complete their internship at our Upland, PA., Philadelphia, PA., and Atlanta, GA. locations. Otherwise, remotely each blood draw must be recorded and approved by a supervising professional. Students have the opportunity to complete their internships in various healthcare environments, including urgent care centers, physicians' offices, hospitals, and clinics. It is encouraged that students start their internships by the time they finish the second module of their coursework. If a physical internship is not possible, students can opt for virtual alternatives.

To help meet clinical requirements, students can use the Virtual Simulation Kit (VSK). This kit allows them to practice their blood draw techniques, and they will record videos of their procedures. Instructors will provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement, and students will continue this practice until they have successfully completed all 30 blood draws.

The EKG Training Certificate Program is meticulously crafted to provide aspiring Electrocardiography (EKG) Technicians with the essential knowledge and skills required to excel in the healthcare field. This comprehensive curriculum encompasses theoretical instruction, practical training, and clinical experience, ensuring that students are well-prepared to perform EKG tests, interpret results, and understand the underlying cardiac physiology.

Duration : The program typically spans 6 to 12 weeks, varying by institution.
Format : A blend of online and in-person classes, featuring lectures, hands-on labs, and clinical externships.
Certification : Graduates will be prepared to take the National Health career Association (NHA) Certified EKG Technician (CET) exam.
